This is a ROM Hack, an exciting new story line previously unreleased!
Fire Emblem: Corrupt Theocracy is a complete romhack of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade (FE7) for the Game Boy Advance. Created in 2011, it is one of the older completed hacks in the community and is known for its ambitious scope, though it is often criticized for its "unrefined" quality and "so bad it's good" status among enthusiasts.
Key Game Features
- Custom Story Structure: The game is split into two parts. Part One acts as a prologue (replacing Lyn mode), and Part Two is the main central story set 20 years later.
- Massive Roster: It features 54 playable characters, with some returning from Part One to Part Two.
- Campaign Length: The main story spans 23 chapters.
- Mechanical Overhaul: Includes custom events, new maps, new weapon types, and unique character mugs.
- Conversation System: It swaps the standard support conversation system for in-chapter "talk" events similar to Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.
Plot Summary
The story follows a group of mercenaries in a war-torn world near the end of its life. Initially, the group works for the Theocracy of Holy. However, the tide of war turns when they are approached by soldiers from the nation of Repub seeking a legendary general to help them fight against the now-corrupt Theocracy. When they find the general has passed away, the mercenaries—some of whom are related to the general—take up the cause themselves.
