Checkered Blue and Pink Brocade Pillows

This textile was woven by a cooperative of woman artisans from the village of Nahuala, Guatemala using back-strap looms, a time honored method of weaving that goes back over 2000 years. The pattern represents one of Nahuala’s traditional geometric designs. This pillow was made in partnership with a non-profit organization on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
