Gameboy Advance non oem, Mortal Kombat Advance MKA video game cartridge. Game cartridge comes with a plastic protective case just like the picture shows.

Mortal Kombat Advance is a 2001 fighting game developed by Virtucraft and published by Midway for the Game Boy Advance. It is primarily a port of the 1995 arcade game Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (UMK3), featuring the same character roster as its 16-bit counterparts.

Key Game Details

  • Gameplay: Players engage in one-on-one martial arts battles using a combination of basic attacks, special moves, and combos.
  • Characters: Includes 26 playable characters, such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Liu Kang, with three unlockable characters: Shao Kahn, Motaro, and Human Smoke.
  • Game Modes: Features Arcade Mode, Survival Mode, and a multiplayer Versus Mode (requires a GBA Link Cable).
  • Fatalities & Friendships: Each character (except bosses and Noob Saibot) has one Fatality and one Friendship finisher. Other finishers like Babalities and Animalities are not included.

Major Changes for GBA

  • Simplified Controls: Because the GBA has four buttons instead of the arcade's six, many special move sequences were consolidated or changed, often leading to complaints about responsiveness.
  • Toned-Down Content: While it retained an "M for Mature" rating, the amount of blood was reduced for a younger handheld audience.
  • Missing Content: Due to hardware memory limits, several stages (like The Subway and Jade's Desert) and the final castle explosion sequence were removed.
