Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is a 2003 action role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance, set in the year 2035. It is widely considered the pinnacle of the series' GBA trilogy and a worthy spiritual successor to Symphony of the Night.

Key Features

• The Tactical Soul System: This innovative mechanic allows you to absorb the souls of defeated enemies to gain their powers. There are four soul types:
• Bullet (Red): Replace traditional sub-weapons with offensive projectiles or spells.
• Guardian (Blue): Provide continuous effects like transformation, flight, or summoning familiars.
• Enchant (Yellow): Passive stat boosts or special latent abilities like walking on water.
• Ability (Grey): Permanent mobility upgrades, such as double jumping, which are essential for exploration.
• Setting & Story: Unlike most entries, it takes place in the future. You play as Soma Cruz, a transfer student who finds himself trapped in Dracula’s castle during a solar eclipse.
• Diverse Weaponry: While some games limit you to a whip, Aria of Sorrow features an extensive inventory of swords, spears, axes, and even handguns.
• Unlockable Content: Completing the game once unlocks several modes, including Julius Mode (play as a Belmont), Boss Rush, and a New Game Plus option.
