The grey suede upper and leather toe box replicate Pee-wee's famous suit, while the white tongue is reminiscent of his button-down shirt and the red tongue tag serves as a nod to his iconic bow tie. The inside sole graphic portrays Pee-wee sitting alone in a movie theatre, in a playful nod to the affair.
